pc world - good price?

I hate PC world with a passion, wouldnt give them my money because they are so overpriced! But this does seem like a good deal!

That is a lot more card for your money. if your fine on power requirements id go for that without hesitation. As has been said, the 5770 is normally a bit expensive as it is the "bottom of the top" so to speak

It's definitely a good price - I sold mine on here for £50 just last week..so to get it from a store with the option to return etc is definitely good. I disgree with those on here that say it's not a good GPU etc too - mine was perfectly capable of playing the latest games at a decent resolution - coped fine with the Battlefield 3 alpha for example, at max settings.

It's held it's price well as its a great card that can still cut it today - ok for £130 you can get much much better now, but for £50..go for it. Don't buy lots though, you won't make any money on them

PC world can sometimes be really good on pricing, but its usually one offs and speaking broadly accross their range they are overpriced. There are numerous times when I have picked up bits of kit from them at a great price though - my last non apple laptop was £100 cheaper than everywhere else, my keyboard + mouse were £20 cheaper than the best online price, various games have been had for only a few pounds..and best of all they do price match, so it can be a good place to go get stuff from the same day rather than waiting for delivery, if they stock it and you can price match it.

I got a decent price on a set of Roccat Kave 5.1`s, web price £66 and available as in store pick up. Just over a pound more expensive than Scan sell them for, but i got them the same day.

I've looked in my local store hoping to double up for crossfire goodness but all still full price round here. I wonder if it is also store specific?

Also not of fan of Pc world and Maplin as it is overpriced as already mentioned but if it's a cheap deal then of course I'd buy it.

i used to purchase things from them almost every week when they price matched play.com but no not unless hotukdeals turns up something interesting.
