    That's not particularly fair - it's not the game stores that determine release dates in their territory... all you're doing is reinforcing the decision to release earlier elsewhere, as your sale moves from your home territory to one with an earlier release date, making that a more profitable market for the developer and publisher...

    Make experiences with Game have always been pretty good - certainly more so than my experiences with Parcel Farce - so I'd be inclined to give game the benefit on this one. Be interested to know the outcome though...

    Argh!

    Still no parcel! Just rang them again and they reckon it will be Tuesday now! They can't trace the package now it has left the depot. So another ear bashing and after being passed on to a manager I have been assured that another has been dispatched and will be delivered Tuesday, took the persons name for future correspondence if the parcel doesn't show, so if I have to complain I can give names... Hopefully I won't though, because I have faith they will stick to their word! I told 'em to dump Parcel Farce, as how bizarre it's failed on two accounts lol

    As a gesture of goodwill they also are sending Michael a reward card with £20 on it for him to spend online or instore, I said I doubted he'd spend it online after this catastrophe lol

    You're being awfully hard on Game considering that it seems to be Royal Mail that's at fault rather than Game. From what you've said so far Game seem to be trying to sort things out and you're just giving thm dogs abuse.

    None of the order details on his reciept from game work on the game website...they did a few days ago, now they don't. As said, so far he's given them a hundred quid for a reciept and nothing else...
    cant prove it was posted from the looks of it.

    I never said I gave them abuse. There is a way of making a point abruptly, whilst being civil without resorting to abuse!

    And if they had stuck to their word the first time I rang them, and delivered the parcel special delivery like they said they would then I wouldn't have to chase them again....Like I say, Michael had paid for special delivery and it the charge was refunded! I don't think anyone would be happy with £100 worth of stuff being delivered snail mail.

    And no, I don't think I am being harsh as, I only have their word for it that it is a royal mail failure! Really! A royal mail failure! Twice?????

    I agree that it is possibly Royal Mail's fault, but it was bought, arranged and paid for through Game, therefore if Royal Mail mess up, its still Game's responsibility.

    I still don't get how it's Game's fault that RM lost the parcel. Fair enough they should've sent it special delivery as was expected but these things happen. RM really are crap these days. At least Game are trying to put things right which is all I'm saying!

    So tell me what do I do?????

    If game wanted to put things right then they would of sent the parcel special delivery on Wednesday like they promised too? That's they're responsibility to ensure that, not my fault or Royal Mail for that matter that they didn't. How do I trust what they say now?? I can't I have to take their word for it.

    And these things 'Shouldn't happen' Not twice lol.

    If you bought something and it didn't turn up, who would you go to??? The buyer? If they made a promise and didn't stick to it! Again who would you contact?? Yep, the buyer. Would you find it acceptable if the buyer turned around and said "Oh well, not my fault, RM lost it" ?

    You're picking me up wrong. I'm not defending Game in any way especially when they don't send pricey packages special delivery as they said they would. Apart from that they do seem to be trying to sort the issue out and have given a gift card on top of that. But I do still stand by my point that if RM did their job neither you, your son or Game would have any problems!

    I know what has happened isn't ideal, but it's pretty clear that they're trying to sort it. From what you've said it doesn't sound like they have tried to fob you off, but have told you the truth.

    The comment that I quoted above....I really hope you didn't say it

    The guy at the other end of the phone is more than likely a minimum wage worker trying to pay the bills like all of us. He's most likely bending over backwards to get that 20 quid for you.

    As a guy who's been in that position, let me assure you that these people really do want to make sure you get your stuff, and it's comments like that that makes people not want to do anything other than the bare basics to get things sorted out. He doesn't care about GAME as a company any more than you do - he cares about eating, having a roof over his head, and probably trying to enjoy the small pleasures he has at a weekend with the little cash he has left over.

    If a customer had said to me that they'd probably not spend the free 20 quid I'd managed to wangle for them, I'd politely thank for their honesty and revoke the offer.

    I won't know until Tuesday.... And I know they are doing a job, and believe me I am grateful that they seem to be trying to sort the issues out, but it has annoyed me that I was told one thing on the phone and they have done something else, it's actions that count, words are easy to say.... Had they of been truthful then there would be no need to phone them again today.

    As for his job, yep, we all worry about bills, and if he has cash left over at the end of the month then lucky him because I certainly don't after the bills have been paid....

    £100 isn't something I am going to let go believe me.

    Im on Shelleys side.

    I pre-ordered a game, a month later no notice of dispatch.
    Another game I pre-ordered I got a text saying I would receive it within a week and they apologised for the delay. Two weeks later, I havent got the game.

    I have used the online system to raise the issue, when I had used it previously I got a reply within 24 hours. I have raised the issue with them THREE times leaving at least 36 hours between raising each case.

    Through going through the website I found a customer service e-mail address, I sent an e-mail to this address on Wednesday and haven't had anything back other then the standard we have received your message garbage.

    Come Monday/ Tuesday if I have not had a reply I will be calling. Pretty rediculous service from them thus far.
