    Unhappy Obscure Ingredients.

    Why do companies insist on putting ingredients in things you're not gonna expect them in?

    My main gripe is Caffeine.
    Was trying to work out today why my heart has been playing up today (Fluttery feelings/ missing beats / extra beats etc). Then I check the back of the "Flu Capsules" I have taken for my cold. There is 25mg of caffeine in each tablet.

    Bearing in mind a Can of coke can put me in hospital it sort of explains things!

    My other gripes are:
    Caffeine in Fruit drinks. (and alcopops, which means I stay away or look like an idiot in a bar asking to see the label!)
    Caffeine in Lucozade (original)
    Caffeine in Sudafed (decongestant stuff) but NOT Sudafed Dual Max (more expensive!)

    </Grr>

    er, it's not really obscure...

    they put caffeine in things like flu/cold tablets to make them non drowsy so you can drive or at least not fall asleep whilst taking them like paracetamol is prone to doing to you. If you dont like the caffeine flu medicine, go down to the supermarket and purchase a cheap packet of paracetamols and a bottle of robinsons diluting lemon juice and take 2 pills and make the juice up hot. Voila, lemsip the cheap way with no added caffiene....huzzah!
