I measured the and the minolta dimage x20 and the slightly newer (same cam really) x21 optio pentax 33lf and and the minolta is half the weight and much thinner as well as being tiny in general.

I couldnt tell the difference in picture quality between my dads old fuji and more recent cannon ixus2 3.2 so that show how much i now about digital cameras i suppose

I'l have to go and have an extensive play in the shops and decide then.

It's tricky to see any differences when just relying on the LCD on the back of the camera.

If you can, get them to hook up to a computer for a slightly better look

In the end i decided to spend a bit extra on something better- isnt that always the way

Its just arrived. My new optio pentax s4 (its the one pictured in joshs post, right at the top of this page)

I got it for £200 from unbeatable http://www.unbeatable.co.uk/CatalogueItem_15232.html

I depends on how much you're willing to pay..well I would say Nikon - Coolpix (5 megapixels?) it a kinda serie, so you can chose how many pixels you want. The one with 5 megapixels is called: Coolpix 5200
