I think that I got off lightly is the scary thing, my houemate is actually blistering badly from all this... who'd have thought wales could be sunny eh?

Aye you did get off lightly... A couple of years ago I went camping with some mates... on a rock poking out into the sea. We had a great time, with 4 crates of Skol constituting outr entire supply of food, jumping in the water and everything.. blisteringly hot.


I still have mottled skin on my shoulders after 4 years where I had almost full thickness burns... big yellow blisters skin just sloughing off - so lucky I didn't get an infection really.. I had to take a week off work cos I just couldn't wear anything. Not pleasant and I do NOT even contemplate taking my shirt off anymore - even if it's roasting like it was on Sunday - and suncream is generously applied. It takes a really bad burning I think to properly drill into your head that the sun is a mighty powerful beastie and not to be trifled with....

I always manage to get burnt somehow; I used to tan quite easily as a kid but I just don't now. Now I'm going bald and my scalp keeps getting burnt. I've just bought a hat though so I shouldn't have any problems on holiday this year.

do people not know that UV rays can penetrate the clouds? it doesnt matter if it's cloudy, it just depends on the strength of the sun.

Be careful guys, it's the middle of june, u should always have suncream with you even in a crappy place like britain
