Yes, it’s another one of those annoying 'OMFG I gotz0r 1000 posts!!11!!' posts that people do for some reason; so here's mine.
I was introduced to Hexus, rather by chance, when someone mentioned the Bargain Hunt forums, and I realised you needed to register in order to see them. I did so, and decided to have a look around the other forums. The obvious quality of the community we have here was evident right from the start; I stayed, made a few posts, and was hooked.
Spin on 1000 posts later, and I'm still here, still enjoying this fine forum and the fine folks who infest its pages like wasps in an old shed, and even moderating the forums.
So, I'll say thanks to the following people:
David. He who shall not be questioned, for running the place, keeping things ticking over, and having enough confidence in me to offer me immortality everlasting, or at least the chance to Moderate the Graphics forum.
Aaron. For mentioning the Hexus Bargain Hunt forums, and in doing so, creating the spark that would soon turn into a raging inferno, causing untold damage to the old people's home next door.
The Hexus Mods \ Admins. For a real sense of a community within a community, one where we can snipe at the ordinary people, and generally feel superior.Seriously though, for making this job very easy, so long as you follow their example.
Knoxy. For making my sig pic and being a typical Hexus user, always willing and happy to help.
Howard, Big Al, Ste, Kez and the rest. For chatting away on MSN, and again, being the sort of people you'd expect to find on Hexus.
Saracen. A special mention, for stepping in and helping me out when I was being treated worse than any customer should ever be treated, by a certain online store, and helping greatly to secure a favourable outcome.
And (almost) all the Hexus Peeps. For making the forums what they are today; which is a cut above everywhere else.
