Yep, as Stoo says this is pretty immense in terms of what it could mean to all of us in the new few years. If this is a concept that is possible that this is technically possible, and something that can be moved up the size scale some what, anyone fancy london - Australia in say 4 hours. Because of course once you get outside the earths atmosphere you gain 1000 mph of relative speed with the rotation of the earth
