Place your right hand on your mouse and your left hand on the keyboard without thinking about it where you're putting it...

When you've done that highlight from here...

Did the fingers on your left hand automatically go to WASD? I'm actually WORKING this weekend and need to do some coding but was browsing through what I did yesterday (with the mouse) and my left hand just sat there... It's trying to tell me it's the weekend I think!

I noticed this the other week! Whilst my left hand doesn't cover WASD exactly, it does cover my counterstrike controls - W, A, D, Ctrl, Space.

My left hand rested on the left hand side of the keyboard, but not over WASD. One finger rested on TAB and my thumb rested on ALT. Probably comes from work, when I'm surfing I need to ALT-TAB quickly if someone walks by...

Heh, guess i'm not mentally conditioned to want to play first person shooters.

Mine was over flaps, gear and engine start

for IL2 hehe

Nope. Just over the T, G, H, Y, J, etc area. I don't use WASD for FPSs... I use the arrow keys. So no pattern.

When I'm browsing big sites I usually have my left hand on the left edge of my keyboard cos it's got a little scroll wheel that I use

Used to be, until I got my nostromo n52 - now it's asdf - home keys for typing.

I can touch type properly. I just don't put my hand in any predefined position on my keyboard. Lol

i always use WASD for all games =) they are the 4 most used keys on my KB - its clear from the fact that they are more worn than the rest =) some FPS games try to draw me away but oh no, they let me rebind back to the only real config

i even use WASD in strategy games etc now [for moving about the screen etc]. I really dont get how ppl can play with other keys but meh i suppose i only use WSAD alot cos of Half Life - its just another one of hte many things we can thank valve for [as opposed to the only thing they made which we can hate em for...steam]
