    Re: NOD32 warning

I have submitted a case to ESET. I didn't want people thinking the HEXUS forums have any viruses. Imgur was just a suggestion, you can use any host that isn't pytalhost.net until ESET fix their problem.

Used to be. I've used it myself before because it was lightweight and quick, till they decided to ditch that approach and now detect about as many false positives as Avira. It's almost like a "who detects the most viruses" race between AV companies by now.. even if that involves false-positives and declaring harmless stuff as malware (I'm looking at you, Avira)

Image hosting companies are a no-go for me, which is why I went for a regular hoster to have full control over all my files (Images are (by far) not the only thing I put on pytal)

If protecting the users involves blacklisting an entire hoster instead of just the offending subdomains, it is in fact pretty idiotic. That's like if [insert your fav. AV solution here] decides to block ebay (or any other page really) entirely because one of the 3rd party ads contained malware at one point. The only difference here is that they're blocking a relatively small German free webspace provider, instead of a worldwide multi million dollar company, which is why there isn't much complaining directed towards Eset.

I just wasn't sure if he meant that he informed hexus about this or flagged my account on pytal. He meant hexus, so nvm.

Which is what I'll doing from now on. You won't see any images from me posted on here anytime soon, unless Eset (the NOD32 guys) get their sh.. sorted, which probably won't happen.

    I'll get rid of that.

Sorry for being so rant-y, but all the problems I've had with my webspace so far were only caused by Eset false flagging the entire hoster with zero exceptions, and I'm getting pretty sick of it. I've been using pytal for well over 5 years now, and just because of Eset I now have to be careful what I post and where I post it, even though none of my content is malware in any form. Overreacted quite a bit in my previous post. Sorry again.

    Re: NOD32 warning

Just wasn't sure about what you meant.. I shouldn't post when I'm pissed lol

I just went ahead and replaced the image in the minecraft thread with the one on my dedicated server.
I saw that jonatron (?) relpaced it with an imgur image, but that just throws up a "502 - Bad Gateway" error for me..
