    Rsi Q?

    Hi there,

has anybody had RSI? I've currently got it in my right hand (The hand I usually use the mouse with) - luckily I can just about use my left hand instead - but if it gets worse should I be taking time off work or going to see a doctor?

Def go see a doctor mate. It can be quite serious .

I've never had it myself but being a musician I know a few people who have had trouble with it. The earlier you catch it the less chance you have of doing damage. As a general rule of thumb you should make sure your hands a very relaxed before doing any thing very repetitive and take frequent short breaks to relax your hands etc.

I have had really really bad RSI at times, thing is that the only thing that really causes it is Tiger Woods on the Xbox, so I stopped playing my favourite game and it went away pretty quickly. Do you touch type? If you do get a natural keyboard and try to switch to a trackball for a while, that would be my advice as it helped me.

A docs visit could be necessary, I didn't bother as I knew that Tiger Woods was the problem and it stopped when I stopped playing it cause and effect stylee.
