Well I suppose firstly, good luck.
Secondly, please keep us up to date as I for one will be following closely. If it is not too much hassle, and the economies are favourable, I would most certainly consider emmigrating (sp?) to Canada an option.

Plus; This country's leadership, from top government, down to local authority seems to have become a laughing stock of complete inept mis-management and greed. If only I could laugh. Don't get me wrong, I do not expect to pay 0% tax or anything so idealistic. I expect to pay tax, period. I just expect the recipients to be accountable for what they do with my money.
So, if we do talk financial... I currently pay (on average) a thousand pounds a month in income tax, then my NI contributions. That is before I then pay council tax, fuel duty, tobacco and alchohol duty, and VAT. And what do I get in return, honestly? A two day wait to see a doctor, crumbling roads, a public transport system that is merely humoured to hold the public vote, public utillities (and fuel companies) that deem it fit to raise shareholders profits (prices) on the first piece of bad news - thinking that the British Public are too dumb to realise that they are merely profiteering. I am happy to pay tax, if it benefits the whole and not the few.
Mr D'Been Sir, please DO NOT take this as a slur on your opinions, these I enjoy as much as anyone on else this forum (and I do yours, particularly ). I suppose I am just suffering from a sceptical fatigue at all the BS and statistics that we are fed, and expected to accept as truth. And probably more annoying is the fact that 'they' that feed us this crap, honestly think that we've fallen for it. I guess you've just awoken a spark.
With (manly) love...
Rob

Well Dabeeenster I think that you have perhaps decided that you would rather stay in the UK after your experience in Oz. I hope that our time in Canada will be enjoyable and that we will like it so much that we decide to stay.
Sorry to hear about your split up Apex, I can understand why it would be hard for you to go back to Canada.
