Are there any Hexus members that live in Canada?
I ask because my wife and I are currently in the process of sorting out visa's so we can emmigrate, we plan on moving to Vancouver.

lucky sod - I spent a year in Toronto and would love to go back there.

We were considering going to Toronto but the draw of milder weather and lots of great nearby skiing in Vancouver was too much for us.

wedge good choice when i was 5 my dad made the same decision, except we went to vancouver island first, before moving to richmond (in vancouver).
We're back in UK now though, but thats due to other circumstances (ie my mum not liking it)
Hi Tom.
What was Richmond like? We are thinking of moving to Maple Ridge. But we were also considering Duncan or Victoria on Vancouver island.

My mom was visiting Vancouver a couple of years ago or something and she really liked it! And I've seen pics, I know that's not much to go after..although it seemed so nice. So you might like it there .
Well, good luck! I hope everything will go fine with you guys!

I know a few people over there, and my mum and dad have been over once, and will be going again in a few weeks time..
I'll be out there eventually too (Who needs a visa when you have citizenship )
Oh and this is a fairly decent guide to the area btw

Cheers for your help Stoo. i have found out that my wife can apply under the Provincial Nominee Program as she is a registered nurse here in the UK. This means that we should be able to get our visa's faster and that she would have a guaranteed job before we even got there.

It's soooo tempting the way this country seems to be going.

It is a great job.
Hows the move going? You actually got a timescale yet, or is it still in the planning?
We have no timescale yet mate my wife has just sent off some forms to prove she is a nurse and stuff.

What's wrong with the way this country is going? Crime is down, the NHS is getting better, educational standards are improving, the economy is very strong comparative to mainland Europe, inflation is extremely low, as are the number of people out of work. What's wrong with that?
