Turning the seats through 180 degrees so the back faces the direction of travel always seemed to me to be an obvious way to minimise injury in a survivable impact as it braces the spine. This used to be the case in RAF transport aircraft.
The cabin staff are also seated facing the rear of the aircraft, with their backs braced by s bulkhead in most passenger aircraft. I have always assumed that is to minimise the risk of their injuries so they can help evacuste the aircraft in the event of a survivable crash.

I watched it and thought it was ok but as other said, lacks quite a lot of info an spends most time saying how they did it.
Also the crash doesn't contain one thing which can happen a lot. Explosion + Fire = when them fuel reserves decide to ignite.
So yes, luck of the draw I think.
I actually had to fly the morning after this show and I actually had to giggle because until people had no other choice, the front 5 rows were empty
