    Anyone know about Wireless CCTV?

Right I hope someone can help me, I don't know much about CCTV but I think I know what I need.
It would need a small (preferably colour camera), must have night vision, be quite small and wireless.

Just wanted to know if anyone has any advice or has used any of these cameras as they seem to be loads of different ones about.
What are the ones on ebay like and how long does the battery last on the camera?

was looking at something like this:
    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...516091641&rd=1

but can go upto about £100 if that is crap

try wandering into your local Maplin and asking the store-troll all about the cameras and things, you don't need to buy from them but you'll get a free lesson. I've seen the one in that auction in Maplin so you can have a shifty at a real one before deciding weather or not to splash out.
They told me I was gullible ... and I believed them.

You want wireless Axis IP cameras.

But they are a lot more than £100

The batteries don't last long at all - you'll probably end up pumping 8 AA's in a night, so either get an adaptor or use some decent NiMH, guess you'd need 2 chargers and 16 batteries which is a pain.

You gotta get B&W though, the night vision is way, way better than with colour CCTV. Standard B&W picks up a hell of a lot more at dusk.

well it would be used to watch my mums car, so thought it would be best to get something wireless and i could fix it inside the car as you would see alot more, and then if anyone is seen damaging it - we can show it to the police (or go round and kick the **** out of them)

so just something that is good in the dark really and that records a full night
