I've had a DC01 for 7 years! Its just...worn now its the first one they ever made...and its still better than most other things.....but it does need new filters every year, and isnt so good as the newest ones.

This DC04 is 105+vat and I was alreadt ordering 4 million things that I dont really need anyway

who does the hoovering in ur house? if its u, it must be really dusty and ur carpet must be quite dirty, in which case, you WOULD notice the difference with a dyson. You'd notice how clean it gets ur carpet on its first use. My mum bought one and when she used it on the (what i thought was dark green carpet) hall, it came up a lovely sage green. They're great!
