Because time starts in greenwich right, because we invented time in London at the royal observatory. So does that mean it will still be the 21st for the Americas. Or does it happen in the afternoon? In which case it could be the 23rd.

well the end is based on the Myan calendar and the the Myan empire was based in central america in roughly what is the Central time zone so I would assume there is where it would be measured.

And for the record "time" was invented by nobody

They were adopted by the rest of the world in 1884.

GMT was the time observed by the royal observatory in Greenwich and got adopted as the global time standard when time zones were introduced.

so really as far as time goes the British invented nothing
