Actually, my spider sense tells me they were...

So, info please on the Nintendo stand. What games were on show and was the DS there?

Yeah Nintendo have their "pier" which was basically just a posh box, no sign of the DS that I saw though I didn't look that hard.

edit: Can't 100% remember what they had there but off the top of my head I think there was metroid prime 2, a musical version of donkey kong which I think was called donkey konga and something to do with zelda and a pokemon game. There was more there but I can't remember exactly.

I think Howard's right - there was definitely no DS - and the Nintendo section wasn't really worth seeing at all IMO. I passed through it pretty quickly after realising that the DS wasn't there.

I suppose they didn't really need to show off the DS though, as they didn't have the PSP to compete with at this show, what with Sony running off for their very own show.

    Point.

But conversely, they could have made Sony look like chumps, by showing off the DS, when the PSP is nowhere to be seen.

Oh well. Apart from the darlings, doesn't look like I missed much then.

Did anyone else get the feeling the retro lounge was a bit pointless? I mean, why play games like those when you could be playing the many state-of-the-art unreleased games that really constitute the whole point of a games show? And was anyone else mystified by the number of people actually playing in the retro lounge?
