Lets take this a bit seriously. Other than the fact that Howard is really seriously one hunky specimen and was BOUND to pull I'm pleased to see how many older gamers are still in the world. Makes me Skii and Deck feel...kinda safe

Looking around those photos, it really is good to see such a mix of ages into Gaming

Was Halo 2 worth the wait? No.

5 minutes of a hideously-restricted CTF level that might as well have been deathmatch. Fun, but not worth the wait


Yeah there were all sorts of people of all sorts of ages there.

My mate and I were speaking to an ATi employee on the tube. He had no idea to get there, just like us

I liked the AMD stand. Lots to do. Prince of Persia 2 on the Athlon64 / 6800GT Shuttle rig was stunningly beautiful to look at, while NFS Underground on the machine next to it with a 5900 was less impressive
Far Cry was impossible to play on that gamepad but the plasma screen more than compensated I guess

The hardware-orientated stands (Coolermaster/Hiper and TheCoolingShop.com) were interesting too. Loads of shiny PSUs and Cases and cooling gear. Excellent way to promote what it's all about IMHO.

I didn't stay long enough to quite see what all the fuss about this main stage with Kiss FM was all about, nor did I bother with these "Virtual vs reality" things but I'm sure they're good for those who are interested. Strange absense of chavs hanging around the PS2 areas though Not that I'm complaining.

I suppose a gaming event isn't really much without a big Nintendo feature. But it was on the whole too childish for me to enjoy I walked through it but none of the games caught my eye.

Didn't get to play S.T.A.L.K.E.R either But got to watch Looks lovely.

On the whole it was a very good day out. Well worth the £5 anyway! I'd recommend if you're considering it and it's easy for you to get there, that you go I expect I'll be going next year.
