my dad is off to the states all of next week, just wondering if there is anything which i should ask him to bring back for me - i mean an ipod is tempting, (obviously im paying for it!), just wondered what else out there has stupid prices compared to here in blighty... last time he went (prolly 4 years ago) he brought me back a gameboy colour which worked out at like £40 which was like half the price...

hmmm so people of hexus, what should i ask him to get me?

Picked up a load of Quicksilver stuff when i was in vegas, over here £25-£30, over there, $4.99 - $9.99. Yum.

Stuff in the states is like removing the £ sign here, keeping the value, and slapping a US $ onto it.

Definately clothes - the same things here (say Dickies, Carharrts etc.) cost a few times more than they do there!!

Oakleys might be cheaper but they still aren't cheap!

Computers are quite a bit cheaper, especially if he buys the parts and you can put it together! I put one together for about $900. Mind you, I did get a number of parts on sale.

Check online stores for prices. Often though malls have sales on. If you have any questions about anything I'd be happy to answer as best I can. If I don't know I can pop down the street and find out!
