    Yeah, its funny using the fake names but highly inappropriate by the broadcaster given what happened. I think all prompt cards and images they use onscreen will now be checked before being aired.

    A whole different level of <expletive> up if you ask me - I just don't understand how this could've got through so many different organisations without being flagged.

    Rather like the picture of a calculator on the front of the metro with 5318008 on the display...

    This is a very stupid move by the airline. It is the first time AFAIK that the NTSB has ever come out and said so early on that it looks like pilot error.

    They should be doing everything possible to make people forget this, not drawing attention to it, and certainly not Striessand'ing this. The internet finds this too funny to ever remove it.

    How about they increase the amount of simulator time for pilots, rather than counting a 2 min flight under manual controls as 8 hours loggable.

    However its also very possible that it was a complete CRM failure, the fact is P1 should have been bollocked for not TOGA at safety levels. Doesn't matter if he is your boss, you have a responsibility.
