'Losing' not 'loosing' . SorryThe interaction is good and the way they handle the forums is excellent so those are two major reasons to give bit-tech a read now that we know those parts of the site will be well maintained. Hexus does have its downsides though, I find the articles to be badly edited; I suspect they are made without a read over by another member of staff because the errors I see every day are really simple typo's that someone else reading an article would quickly and easily catch and rectify. I used to point them out back when it was a few errors a week but now I see them on a daily basis and have given up pointing them out.
I like making sure details are taken care of; a week or more before a deadline I only fix minor details like grammar and spelling in my reports. It might not get me too many extra marks but it certainly prevents me loosing marks though and Hexus has been loosing my interest steadily over the last few years thanks to the increase in these minor details being over looked. The forums are amazing which is what keeps me on the website but without the forums I'd be reading my technology news elsewhere and I worry that similar cutting of corners will occur at bit-tech.
It will be interesting to see what effect this change of ownership has. I hope that it has a positive effect on both websites and the owner learns from the new site and uses that knowledge to address issues in the old and vice versa.
