Sally and I met on Facebook, six years ago today, playing Scrabble of all things. The rest, as they say is history

We met at uni about Oooo 20 years ago, romance blossomed over a party pack of woodpecker cider.
Current G/F I originally met in a parkside bar in Budapest in 2010 when I was doing my London to Kuala Lumpur overland without flying trip. Nothing happened, just had a good laugh as friends and kept in contact over facebook (like many other people I've met around the world).
Fast forward 3 years, quick message saying she is moving to the UK and is going to be in London a few days, lets meet up for a drink to catch up and just hit it off from there!

Was having lunch in the hospital canteen when this leggy nurse came and sat near me. In uniform……
Got introduced to mine by her other half at the time, outside the bar at a local bike rally/show-thing. Made friends and hung out for a couple of years thereafter, but the final 'get together' began at a local Sidepatch MC's anniversary bash, where witnesses speak of how the atmosphere around us was positively electric.
Would you believe a school reunion ?
Society's to blame,
Or possibly Atari.
We sat next to each other at work and we really didn't get on at all.
Things didn't happen until she'd left that job; we no longer hate each other (well, most of the time we don't..)
eHarmony
(other dating sites are available)
No, we don't tell people. We say we met at a gig of the band she used to manage.
Met mine on POF, and despite her numerous attempts to smother me in my sleep, we're still together 2 years later.

This is bunny and friends. He is fed up waiting for everyone to help him out, and decided to help himself instead!
Way back in the dawn of time when I was starting my career in IT I used to work with a friend of hers. She'd just come out of hospital after having gall stones removed and came over to Sheffield (where I was working at the time) to meet The Boys. The rest is history, as they say (something like 12 years down the line )
Met my wife when I moved to the USA. We met at church where she and her family were good friends of my family who moved to America before me. She spotted me before I spotted her but once I got to know her my life hasn't been the same!
No trees were harmed in the creation of this message. However, many electrons were displaced and terribly inconvenienced.
Mine used to work at RAF Lossiemouth where i was stationed and used to come into my section every day but apart from hi, how are you, we didn't really speak. One night i was out with the lads in Downtown USA (a bar in Elgin) and she kicked me up the backside when i walked past and didn't notice her. We got talking, went to the nightclub next door and things happened quickly from there.
Just out of interest, what's with the embarrassment with meeting on a dating site? For example, I know for a fact that my Sister met her Husband on a dating site (his Mam let slip to me at a dinner party), but they still insist they met through friends. What's with that?
We communicate so much online these days anyway, I really don't see the issue with using a site to facilitate a date. In fact, the more I think about it, the more certain I am that if I was single, I'd happily use them.
