Why should we have to put up with it being shoved down our throats from October onwards though? I'm thouroughly pissed off with the commercialism which has now spoilt christmas and if I wanna moan about it, I will.

And Zedmeister, you missed out a poll option for 'ALL OF THE ABOVE REALLY FRICKIN ANNOY ME!!!'

The vast amount of effort required by unwilling participants.

"Help decorate the tree!" - why? I don't want a tree, I see no point in the tree. I fail to derive any pleasure from any of the aspects of Christmas, it's all just far too much effort. The presents thing - why not spread it across the year - just buy your relatives or your mates something when they actually need it, or maybe because you feel like showing some affection to them at some other time of the year. Why force it to happen on one day?

Oh, and the complete lack of rational thought, which is often referred to as "Christmas Cheer". What a big bag of crap.

Now, New Year - that's something I can deal with.

...and a December break without the christmas trimmings...that's a dream.
