How about Evans for a series, then bring back the old team once Clarkson has served his punishment.
Remembering that Evans was out in the cold for many years. If anything he was more of a 'bell end' than Clarkson could ever be.

Hmm, well I'm not so sure. They can't just bring Clarkson back because of the assault. So, they bring in Chris Evans and see how the first couple of shows go. If they bomb, Chris will then invite on some "amazing" guests (in his break-the-mould-risque-style). He's such a wag.
First will be Hammond, then May and then, in a jaw-dropping moment watched by millions, will come Clarkson. Evans then has them as regulars until, Bob's your uncle, we're watching the 3 old farts again.
It's what we pay our license for.

Most modern TVs have a wonderful feature called "channel change", and particularly advanced sets have it on a delightful device called a "remote control". If you put it on your Christmas list, I can put a word in for you. I know a guy, and ..... oh wait ....
What's the nearest Argos to the North Pole?
The Stig or Michael Schumacher should have been the new host.
Fan of Top Gear; I wont be watching it whilst evans is involved.

Top gear will never be the same since the trio left
Dunno - here in the US, it's broadcast on the History channel, which is one step above sewage, but a step below landfill runoff. Or on par with your average Murdoch enterprise... take your pick. So I've never seen it. What's the excitement? Wikipedia seems to be much hype, little content - again, not unlike your average Murdoch enterprise... (and yes, I realize that Top Gear isn't a Murdoch product)
It's ok, there are some things we wouldn't expect you to understand over there. Like nice cheese, correct spelling, the benefit of the NHS, or the meaning of silly mid-off. Top Gear was a bastion of non-PC-restricted good natured entertainment, and even years later on Dave it's still entertaining. If you haven't seen the show why post in the thread?
Btw The history channel is a bit better than you give it credit for, it's hardly Yesterday, which I find rather ironically named since it seems to show the same show as it showed yesterday today, tomorrow and for months later.
I will give it a try but I cant stand the ginger t**t and cant see him improving top gear in any way. I hope the other presenters can get a word in edgeways so I dont have to sit with the sound muted throughout the whole program.
US top gear was shown on the UK tv a few years ago and was a good take on the Uk version.
I asked what the excitement was. The rest was chatter - much like a lot of the other content in the thread We do have auto shows here, some of which are quite good, and some of which aren't. I was also curious as to why the so-called most watched show in the history of man was on one of the worst channels for any kind of content here in the US. You must admit, those 2 concepts don't mesh well, if at all.
That applies to History as well now. It used to be a good channel - now it's gone all docudrama, made up history, and all the educational content of a Sailor Moon cartoon. And I've seen more than a fair few examples of proper spelling and grammar right here on Hexus - casting stones from inside will break your windows firstBtw The history channel is a bit better than you give it credit for, it's hardly Yesterday, which I find rather ironically named since it seems to show the same show as it showed yesterday today, tomorrow and for months later.
