Erm, actually, yes, I can. I just put the lid on and put them back in the cupboard.

Another myth blown out of the water.

    I beg to differ.

Yeah, which brings me to the other side of the coin... advertising features that they DON'T tell you about... such as the powdered crack cocaine sprinkled over every Pringle.

    Legal Disclaimer:

The poster does not actually believe that the above is true, it is merely stated for humorous purposes. After all, if you believed that, you'd probably believe a soft drinks giant like...ooh, say Coco Cola (for example) would have the audacity to filter ordinary tap water and then charge over a quid for 500ml... AND then ADD a possible carcinogen to the bottle which wasn't even present in the original, unfiltered water... oh wait a minute...

They are addictive. Is it me though or is that not really a selling point? 'Once you pop, you'll keep shovelling our reformed potato snack into your fat face until you've eaten enough to make you obese'.

It's all in the spin, I guess.

A lot of the non science names are simply there because the actual ingredient is a) extremely every-day and boring, and b) they can't copyright/trademark it..

Grr don't even get me started on shampoo adverts.

Couple of 'new' (made-up) ingredients like SebumPro-Nutrient GTi, bit of srubbishrubbishrubbishrubbishy CGI showing how the new ingredients 'work' (ooh looky it's actually repairing the hair folicles!!) and a splash of hair-swooshing and bam! we got ourselves the latest pile of rubbish to rush down to Boots en masse for.

The best product name is for something I've seen on QVC (not watched it myself you understand, i walked in while the missus was watching it).
Its a hair removal wax/tape jobby, and its name is... unfortunate

if only their slogan was "Go..."
