Find internet info on a property?

Hi.

is there a website that shows information about broadband speeds/features for a property or road/area?

Information i am looking to find are if its fibre optic? virgin or bt Line? how far from the telephone exchange?

I am currently looking for a property and want to see how the internet is in that property/area.

Use same knows to check exchange (for llu , fibre etc)

The do a fake semi signup and the provider will give you details of 'expected speeds. You only need the address and postcode for this.

Noting that it is only as estimate and currently there is no guarentee of any internet in any UK property. It's all best effort.

I always end up on the SamKnows tools: https://www.samknows.com/broadband/

They'll show you who has their kit in your local exchange, rollout plans and all the useful stuff.

One thing to be aware of with Sam Knows is that it will initially list the capabilities of the exchange, but that doesn't mean all those services are available at an address. There's at least one property I've looked at where the initial Sam Knows search indicates that BT FTTC and BT FTTP are available, but actually there's not even a roll out plan for FTTC yet, let alone consumer availability.
