Re: Are you a serial tab opener?

I tend to keep opening tabs until I can't see the icons, then either go and close a few or open a new window.

My bookmarks folder is totally empty, if I use a site enough I'll keep a tab on it. I've still got Amazon tabs open from Christmas.

what a great invention tabs are

Re: Are you a serial tab opener?

Very much depends on what I am doing

Browsing reddit I have a habit of scanning the front page and then a few pages of some sub-reddits, and opening 20-30 tabs that I want to read over lunch. That gets left on a second desktop until i have time to read.

I also use them as a "todo" list sometimes if working in a CRM or Ticket system during my day job - generally if a Tab is open on my "work" workspace, then it's a task I need to do that day. May be inefficient but it works for me

Re: Are you a serial tab opener?

My browser sessions usually last for several days, the browser opens with 20+ pinned tabs plus any left from the previous session, so getting into the hundreds is common. Pale Moon (x64) is ideal for this, esp. if you happen to leave a bad site/tab open overnight (Channel 4, I'm looking at you, 10.4GB in one tab... ?!).

During testing, I do sometimes use parallel opening of maybe a hundred or or so tabs.

That can lead to some pretty ridiculous tab sets
    Not just me then?

I start pruning as soon as the width of the tabs on Chrome gets reduced to fit them in, and have been attempting more judicious use of bookmarking.
