No apology is needed, I love and miss proper British back bacon. US bacon uses the pork belly, which is massively different in flavour and texture. As a stand alone breakfast food, British is edible, American is not. However, American bacon, properly cooked (which is hard to do) can be an enhancement to things. Many things that are bacon wrapped, for example, work well with the crispy US bacon protecting the content from over-cooking. If you are adding bacon to lean minced beef, the extra fat in the American bacon adds a great deal of flavour and necessary texture. And it's lunch time and I'm hungry.

I feel like I combined some of the ideas and made an omlette with bacon and cheese. Had some orange juice to go along with it as well

I'm kinda a big deal in the world of breakfast and sandwiches; first question, how do you like your heart, nice and functiony, or giving plenty of very early warning signs about your abuse? There is no wrong answer.

Happy memories of the 'Canadian' breakfast at Pancakes on the Rocks. The restaurant is not the same as it was...
Society's to blame,

I d like to treat myself to a full English once a week, preferably with black pudding and bubble & squeak. I do find it tastes better when somebody else cooks it, luckily the pub opposite opens Fri/Sat/Sun early for breakfast, their filter coffee is pretty good as well.
A continental breakfast is quite good, something like a roll in bed with a little honey
