    Someone in the military wanted to know if it would work, and now they know. Can't learn anything without testing

    Other than these focussed emitters, other counter-uav suggestions have included other uavs carrying nets to tangle the propellers of the offending uav. AFAIK no-one's seriously drawn parallels between counter-uav and clay pigeon shooting, although I suppose it's only a matter of time

    As time progresses you will see more active deployment of laser CIWS as purchase costs decrease - the per shot cost is very low compared to projectile based systems.
