If it was Amazon that sold you an item and you are returning something to you, sometimes your refund is issued as soon as the post office have the item. I have sent something back before and by the time I have got home from sending it I have had an email saying refund on its way.

Yeah it's going back to Amazon , The tracking says it arrived Friday so hopefully it will be done this week then.
Unless it's just me their packaging has become pretty crap just recently , My last few items were sent in a large cardboard folder without any Bubblewrap and one was sent all the way from Amazon Germany like that...
Contact them by live chat, they will be able to see it arrived on Friday and will issue a refund immediately.

I stuck the label on the outside ( obviously ) and i placed the extra bar code inside the box on the item , is that correct way to return it that they will not reject it?
Sounds about right. They can track it from the outside label anyway. I know they can sometimes take a few days to get to returns but if you contact them and its been delivered back to them they can issue the refund.
As I said I have had refunds issued even before I have got home

You can actually tell them during the returns process about poor packaging and they do take the feedback into consideration.

Thanks Both , I'll give it 24hours and then try live chat when i'm less busy.
I returned a mouse to them this week - bought from a marketplace seller, not from Amazon directly - and got refunded as soon as they received it. I also used their very handy print at delivery office thing, where you take the wrapped package and a QR code they email you to a local delivery office and the post office print off the postage labels for you. Easiest product return I've ever had to do.
For very low value items they'll sometimes even let you keep the item, if it's not worth the cost of return postage...
I used the locker last time I had to return an item, and explained to them in the comments section during the return that the packaging needed to be more secure. When they shipped the replacement they had listened to my feedback and used more secure packaging.
Contact them by live chat. I did the same (Mobile phone) and all was good. Did take a few days to acknowledge and refund after tracking confirmed they had it. Live chat was able to confirm they had it before that point. There page was tracking refunds is slow to update. Still really good returns service compared to most.
Just about to fire up Live Chat and it's already been done , Must say that i'm pretty impressed.
Good job Always buy my parts from Amazon now, just for the returns factor alone.
Have had some dodgy packaging occasionally but the returns are second to none. None of that well you have had 3 days use of it so we will deduct 50% rubbish.
Jon
Not sure if the shoddy packaging is now down to cost cutting or bad training of the packagers?
I remember a time when they would send even the smallest item in like 3 metres of industrial bubble wrap and a massive heavy duty box.
Yep I was one of those people that received an sd card in a box that was almost a meter long!
