Cans are better. I've actually done several blind taste tests myself.
There are also notable differences in the same drink produced in different countries.

I think you might find yourself surprised how useful plastics were once they're gone, especially if you ever need to hold something liquid or stinky, or keep something waterproof... or just make something lightweight and cheap.
