    wanted: photography nut

i need a photo for something i'm working on. what the actual photo involves isn't staggeringly important - i just need something with as high a resolution as possible

actualy, that said, the content needs to be clean & family friendly

most importantly, i need to be able to discuss terms of copyright ownership (i need it for something open-source i'm working on, so i'd like to be able to release the image under an open-source license)

i'm using http://www.inram.org/albums/album01/Badger.jpg as my stand-in picture for the moment, but i hope one of the budding photographers out there can make me happy

I'd imagine he'd be only too happy to help out aslong as it gives him an excuse to use his camera.

    He said high res matey!
I have a 12204x8964 picture of my garden shed.
No, seriously I have. Taken on medium format and scanned in using a Nikon 8000 as a test.

It's a rubbish photo, but if it's a case of "never mind the quality, feel the width" you're welcome to it.
Might have to reduce the quality tho - original file is 640MB!

3500* is probably more than good enough, better than the 1280x960 i get on my palm's rather crappy camera

not really sure it matters, though it could do with a bit of everything - some fairly uniform areas, some complex areas, some clearly defined lines & not so clear areas, a mix of colors and contrast

not many atm just the 18-55 and the 50 F1.8 (cracker of a lens), along with an old 35-80mm which actually is an awesome macro lens with some modding crack off of the front element and its goes beyond 1:1

thanks guys, seems i've got a lot of support on this

honestly though, i'm gonna end up picking out of a hat or something - i just need a sample image to distribute with some code, and a bigger image means more useful results.

the actual content is probably not massively important - but i thought it might pique someone's interest if i used a proper photo rather than just drawing a 5000x3500 smiley face

You have an 8000? Damn you, sir!

I have some pics from my Fuji GSW690II which could do with some high res loving, not gonna happen anytime soon though.

Got a insanely large Athlon XP chip pic made from 4 shots pieced togther into something near a 10,000 x 10,000 pic or round abouts.

Made it into a gloss pic for my wall.

Not taken me shots yet, one of my favourites is THIS
Going to try it again soon with my new polarizer.

This is one of my largest pics at around 15000*1500
