I cannot play any instrument, but if I was allowed to go and listen to just one, and nothing else for my whole life, it would be the harp

I once went to a wedding in a castle tower, and the harp played there created more emotion than I'll ever explain

By harp you mean the kind John Lennon played

The Hammond organ sound has a great deal to answer for. On the one hand is the genius of the likes of John Lord, Gregg Allman,. Gary Brooker and James Brown. On the other hand, 40 years on I still have flashbacks to the time I was walking through the Bull Ring in Birmingham when a 'muzakised' rendition of Hazel O'Connor's Eighth Day came over the speakers. Just to clarify, the Yamaha organ I mentioned can sound like a "cheesy" old organ (Hammond or not, and we had one of those too (*) way back) but Yamaha was something of a pioneer in electronic keyboards, and the one I mentioned was vastly configurable and programmable. It could also sound like a clarinet, or Hawaian guitar, or .... dozens of others, based not on synth'ed "cheesy" organ (where everything sounded like an organ) but sampled instruments. It might be crude by today's standards but was pretty damn good at the time.
