I realise I'm about to be shot but I have tried on 3 occasions to get into the Beatles and just can't. *dives into bushes*
Straight away I can get into the likes of The Animals, The Hollies and early Stones but just find the Beatles a hard listen, they just don't do it for me

ok which albums did you start with? It's like whisky, you need to go in with the right stuff before moving to other parts.

Re: Things that didn't live up to the hype?

The Last of Us on PS4 & PS3 version which I was bought on day of release for Fathers Day and I have never completed it (donning fire proof undies for this one). It is clunky and clumsy and so damned boring. I have tried to play it on 3 separate occasions now and always get to the bit after you escape the library and have to put a plank over a fence to get into a new town. It goes on and on and just bores me to tears. Give me the Uncharted series or Jak & Daxter from Naughty Dog over TLOU any day

Re: Things that didn't live up to the hype?

VAG group cars. Never had one in 20 years of driving. Decided to get a Seat Leon which I'll be honest was a nice drive compared to the budget/family cars I'd have previously. It was so nice I got the wife a Skoda Rapid. Then the Leon started going wrong. Not quite as bad as the Qashqai it replaced but still very disappointing when its not even 5 years old (Electric window, heating, suspension). Wife's Rapid is better in that respect, but it does keep throwing DSG gear select errors occasionally. Think i'll go back to Hyundai next time. Most reliable car I've ever had by about 100% - the drive may have been dull but I'd take reliability any day.
    Trust

    Laptop : Dell Inspiron 1545 with Ryzen 5500u, 16gb and 256 NVMe, Windows 11.

Force Awakens was only hyped in that it was the next in the Star Wars series, but the reviews itself weren't great, at least not the ones I saw. I booked my sitting just because it was the next movie out. I don't want to start a war over it here but I was disappointed with it - but not because I'd heard it was great, but because after hearing they were going to add the sequel 'episodes' it dropped the ball. And it only got worse from there. But not once did I go in expecting them to be great because of the 'hype' I'd heard.

Maybe I'm nit-picking, because as Star Wars movies there's a lot of expectation built-in, and that's enough to make them disappointing.

A bit of an older one, but how about everyone's High School Record of Achievement?
