The most enjoyable things in life?

The simple things here - sunshine, some nature, and good company. Interesting how perspectives how shifted over lockdown, from purely professional pursuits (money/career) to just enjoying life as it goes by.

Oh, and beer. And coffee. Preferably not together.

Friends and family have to be one of the top ones. You only live once so make the most of it everyday. Always do what will make you the happiest. No point being miserable in life.

An interesting topic I'll keep an eye on myself.

At the moment I'm just trying to live, with music, videos, games & podcasts to get me through the day - plus the occasional work request.

As others have stated, friendship, and I need to make way more effort than I ever have done in the past. I've at least managed to rekindle an old friendship during the past year which hopefully will bring some social & economic benefits in the future.

Previously I've enjoyed:

Kickboxing (exercise level, not competing)
Indoor climbing
Walks, regardless of weather, enjoy a good thunderstorm
Many curries
Driving
Meeting friends & family for day trips
The odd festival
Classic car & rally events
Cooking (badly)
Go Karting

Once I've finished treatment I'll be looking forward to trying out different avenues of life so I'll be interested in what others find enjoyable

I think the things I've enjoyed most have varied as I age. Part of it is not being able to get away with things I did when younger (from the degree of physical activity, to not handling the after-effects of alcohol anything like so well), but an equally big part (or probably bigger) is finding I want different things. So partly, at least, it's evolved sefhishness. I used to do things /(getting a bit too well oiled) because it was what all my friends did. But I've learned to do what makes me, or family, happy, and that is much more relaxing. Other things, like parties .... no way. Not any more.

So what do I enjoy? Good music .... and I mean relaxing in a comfy chair with nothing else to do and really listening. Also, reading. I've always been an avid reader. And for that matter, writer.

If I'm in the mood, cooking. And certain types of eating.

Occasionally, a good movie/TV series but I have to be really in the mood.

Photography, especially macro.

I used to enjoy driving but the roads are too damn busy these days. Now, driving is what gets me from A (where I am) to B (where I need to be).

Computing used to be fun. Now, it's a tool to get a job done, especially photography.

And nothing beats spending time with the wife.

I agree as I have got older my wife is no longer the wife she has become my out and out best friend. I used think my Dad was crazy been so in love with my mom used to make me cringe. I have now become my Dad as I never thought you could grow more in love after 37 years
