Yeah I'm the same, everyone makes mistakes, things go wrong, its how you deal with them after that point that is the telling part..

I'm well in to it now. Heathrow was an utter disaster. They have the worst security that I have encountered anywhere in the world. China operates better, and the staff are friendlier. First flight left on time, but the second is a US airline so it's delayed. After not wearing a mask on the last few passenger flights, I'm not looking forward to going back to getting screeched at by a skywaitress every time I take a sip of my drink. Fortunately the seat has a door, so hopefully I'll be able to go to hide from the wagon dragons and get some sleep.
Heathrows fine, you wanna try Stanstead, thats a rubbishrubbishrubbishrubbish hole lol
Quick update:
I've just received 3 email invoices, so presumably all 3 refund requested have been completed, even though there website only states 2 have been processed. and still shows a balance of £304.48 credit on the account...maybe I have some free credit with an airline I'll never use again
Second flight ended up delayed two hours. They had to remove cargo as we were overweight. I missed my connection, so I'll be home around 6 hours late. EC261 compensation will apply, but not enough..
Sounds like a lot of pissing about for what should have been a simple flight no?
Should have been. The days of 'simple flights' may be behind us.
I fly as a passenger 4-6 times a month, usually only in the US. About half of flights have significant delays. It's the new normal.
This time the Airline lost one of my bags too! This is my third time this year. I expect it will show up at my door a couple of days late, and there's compensation, so that part doesn't bother me.
Do you have airtags, I got a 4 pack to use with my work bags, there's nothing you can do when a bag goes walkies but if you know before the airline tells you then at least you can be a bit better prepared..
I do, and the airline is actually pretty good at notifying passengers through their app every time a bag is scanned during loading, etc. Obviously I don't check anything valuable unless I'm flying with firearms, and that's a whole other mess. Air Tags are definitely worth it!
Bag has been delivered today, and $50 of compensation.
