With the good weather, what songs define "Summer"?

I was having a think on the way home today, the weather has been awesome today (Least in Northern Ireland anyway) and I was wondering what would your ultimate summer soundtrack consist of?

What songs that when you hear remind you of Sun, Sea, Sand, Chillin', Care free times and that feeling of invincibility cruising in the blistering heat brings?

Sorry if this should be in the Audio Visual section, just wondered what the old General Discussion people thought

Some Chicane stuff - I don't know why but I think of Sun and chilling. Great .

No Ordinary Morning jumps to mind. Listened to early on a summer morning at dawn as the mist burns off.

Oh, Dodgy - Staying out for the summer, now that brings back some summer party memories .

I've only just started "really" listening to music, and so my collection isn't that massive (at all!!!), but maybe Guns n Roses - Sweet Child of Mine.

Also tiggerai - is that phrase in your sig supposed to be almost un-sayable? Unless I say it quite slow, I say "techy tochy" .

For summer you gotta go towards the classic albums imo -

    Back in Black
    Vulgar Display of Power
    Appetite For Destruction
    Master Of Puppets
    Number Of The Beast
    Dark Side Of The Moon
    Any of Led Zep's Albums
    N.W.A - Straight Outta Compton
    London Calling

Then you move onto the newer stuff

    Velvet Revolver - Contrband
    Mudvayne - Lost and Found
Killswitch Engage - End Of The Heartache

Are what springs to mind atm, more to follow when I remember some.

ajbrun, just played sweet child tonight as the last song of my bands set and it went down a storm, good choice

Edit: anyway, the theme tune from that program on C4 a few years ago where a bunch of knobs went around America in a bus going to nightclubs and arguing with each other. Crap series, but the music is top: Monoboy - The Music In You
