the thing is, the 5 gig players arent really overpriced because who actually needs more than 500 hours of music in one player? its nice to have more, but is it worth £50 more (plus the sacrifice of style, and, often, battery life)? i'd say no..

If i was going to go for someting with fixed storage. Basicaly any HD or solid state player, then i would want at least 30-40gb. So i could carry all my music. With my CD player 10 cd's game me 7gb. So i could basicaly carry as much music as i wanted.
Yeah, there's always the danger of filling a 40gb player...
