    You guys are being a little unfair... this coming from a big FFan

    IE is deeply integrated into windows and has to be compatable with just about EVERY program there is! Firefox can release updates quicker as it's standalone. In PC advisor (I didn't buy it ) this month they listed FF updates as only beating the average IE update by several days. The more firefox gains popularity, the more it will be attacked.

    Deeply integrated into windows my arse, that's just the MS line used to keep the lawyers off their backs, it could be removed fairly easily if needed.

    It shouldn't need to be compatible with just about every program there is, it's a web browser, as long as it's fully W3C complaint, that's all it should ever need.

    But we are talking about MS, who will impose their own proprietry standards on a whim, especially if it gives them more leverage over those pesky open source/open standards people (MS vs Sun being a prime example).
