get drunk? break some bones ending in hospital - thereby missing the exam ( excellent excuse) be ill, leave the country, pray...

No seriously, try to concentrate on a few areas well that you know the most about ( have the examiners hinted on any subjects that might be on the paper??) and if your lucky you might get 1 or 2 on the paper. at this stage its probly the best you can hope for.

You could always cheat... not sure how to though...

    awww, another chemist!

but i also hate kinetics, and hence i'm not doing the kinetics question in my paper on thursday, so i'm afraid i cant be of much help

spectroscopy i could maybe help with depending on what kind of spec it was (NMR/IR etc)

you can get accomodation at uni for resits they wouldnt let you go without somewhere to stay. What uni are you at?

what i'd say is just learn as many of the equations as you can and basic principles. With 1st year chemistry it tends to be the same questions year after year but with different numbers and you can generally get by in kinetics if you know the equations and plug in the numbers and know the basic principles.

As for spec, it's difficult to explain over the internet and in a few mins. You should have had some sort of exposure to spec during the year in class tests/tutorials/labs.

    Ahh Chemistry, the olllld chestnut

Well, where do I start? Wishing you good luck would be a nice start, I guess, then I'll go onto my doom with respect to the exams.

Chemistry? Ahhh ! Well, Organic? Easy, Organic 2? Easy, Inorganic? Well, Ok... I guess, Physical ? Dont even go there ! Spectroscopy exams for me too soon, quantum mechanics and dare I even say it, the dastardly kinetics !!!!

Hope you do well mate, I wont, but fear not, theres always resits if thw rose does infact come to the worst

Ive got an exam 2moro too! Well good luck then, dont pannic whatever you do, read through the questions properly before you jump in answering them, and if you dont know the answer, you may get a few marks for guessing, so dont go leaving any blank spaces.
