Basically, these recent years, lack of exercise has put me in a situation where I need a little 'boost' if you like to get back on the right track, as any exercise now is very difficult to do. If they supress hunger and give you an energy boost, then why not use them to do this? That would be my choice, would it not?
I'm not like Andy Fordham or anything, but if I'm honest, I could do with losing maybe a couple of stone, but it's my fitness that is really bad (probably also due to poor diet and smoking). Ever since my op on my back in '02 I have either not been able to go to the gym or not felt comfortable about going.
You may think it's lazy, OK, it probably is, but not everyone can be a fitness freak like you.
Of course, but it was hard enough finding the energy when I was fitter and able to go to the gym. I know changing my diet would help a lot, giving me the right types of energies etc, but I'm probably the most fussiest eater ever. I know what's good for me but I just can't force myself to eat it, even though I try on many occasions.Originally Posted by noahhowes
Therefore, the only way I can see myself keeping fit, and I mean fit as in healthy, not weight wise, is to exercise, but as I said before it's very hard for me at the moment and I feel a little boost might help. These tablets sound good even though they may not be right for me.
i'm not a fitness freak by any stretch of the imagination, and in some cases I accept certain drugs aid specific muscular activities (I should know, I bloody studied them!) but the danger is that many people become reliant on them to get them out of a tight spot and their continued use really shaft the body, in particular kidneys and liver...neither of which you want to fail on you. so, in that respect I would personally suggest to anyone training themselves to fitness, or just getting healthy again, to not take any enhancing drugs but to do what they can without...particularly when someone of, shall we say, an 'increased waste-line' is already putting a slight strain on the body to strat off with when starting to take up exercise again. its only natural, even when I was training if I took a few weeks off it was always entertaining coming back, knackered! so if someone coming back after several years off then certainly its going to pinch a little. just don't rely on drugs and know what the dangers are especially if a body is being strained already with the new exercise being placed upon it. trust me kidneys are things you want to keep working!
