I've met LOADS of people...
Quake Team Fortress: Went to a LAN with about 8 or so people, mainly from our clan.
Action Quake 2: Meet up with around a dozen people down a pub once.
IRC: Met up with about 6 people, again down the pub.
Mailing list: Met up with about a dozen people.
Some forum I was admining: Meet around 20-30 people over a number of events.
All of the people I've got on with on-line, I've got on with well in real life. Sometimes people are very different in real life than they are online, but they still seem to be cool.
Luckily, I've managed to avoid Vaul so far.

Love you really, Aaron mate. Even if you are a Spurs fan.
I've never met anyone thro rhe net to date. However I recieved an e-mail via friends reunited recently. Som chap had seen my name & recognised it fro school. However he didn't know aho I was or from which school he knew me, but he said he definately recognised my name & I must've been a mate. To try & jiog my memory he listed about five or six of the blokes he hung around with.
Now I knew instantly who he was. He was one of the crowd that bullied & beat me up every day of my primary school life. I was a small child & these kids made my life a living hell. Funny what time does to a degenerate's memory.
I've met a few of the people from here.
And i now work with some too.... eeeek!

Meat up with internet people? Never! Ok, so no-one would ever want to meet me and my wife would call me even more of a geek.
Not around too often!
I have met up with a few people from a car forum I used to be a member of. I do not think that i have ever met up with any other pc peeps though, I wouldn't mind but I am sure they would.

i got an email from an ex- over friends reunited...not too bad to be honest. at least it woudn't have been if the g/f at the time hadn't been looking over my shoulder and asked 'who's that then...?'. not wanting to be dishonest (openness in a relationship is key I feel) I told her.
I've not seen or heard from her for over 2years...
oh well, her loss

ive met my CS clan mates quite a few times for lan parties and weekend pissups. They are very good friends now - especially as ive stopped playing cs
From the dial-up BBS days I met a few guys who lived relatively close (longest trek was Macclesfield to Bolton) - that was around '91.
When I started playing games online (Ultima Online, in '97) I met a few people from other parts of England a few times, and even a guy from Holland.
About 3 years ago I started chatting "outside of the game" with one of my friends from Asheron's Call who I had known in-game only for years, she is from Sweden.
Last year I sold my house, moved out here to be with her and I now work for Microsoft
Don't regret it for a second.
~ I have CDO. It's like OCD except the letters are in alphabetical order, as they should be. ~

Same here.
used to be in a CS clan and we all used to meet at one of the Lads houses in Stoke. We even had our Swedish member fly to Liverpool and come for the drunken escapades. I also speak to them now, even though I've moved to pastures new and the clan has been dormant for a while, but we still all want to carry on with the drunken rampages around Southampton and Stoke
I also speak to a few people on MSN that I've met at various Parties, Lan parties etc.
I kinda did it all a bit backwards to be honest (which isnt really unsual!)....
To cut a long story short I got invited to a party of which the main decorum of guests were Hexites and the rest, as they say, is history!!
Im responsible for lots of people being drunk, have experienced a lovely day out at Duxford with Hexites and have made lots of friends! Also shared my birthday celebrations with TiG last year.
Hexites Ive met include: Nick, David, Iain, Jiff Lemon, Moby-Dick, TiG, Cat Woman, Trig, mgh0, Wild Monkey, Hat, Dak, Skii, Zak33, Sair, Auran, Rave, Vimeous, Clingy, Tumble & Lynni.
(Im sure Ive missed some off, but its not intentional!)
If you're not living on the edge, you take up too much room
