I do agree with euthanasia in theory, but as someone said, you have to be sure that people are of sound mind AND more importantly, that murder is not comitted! How would anyone control whether a death was due to choice, or because someone was going to leave a lot of money in their will....?

as a few ppl have said, they'd prefer not to be kept barely clinging to life via various machines etc, they'd rather be allowed to die, preferably with as little pain & as much dignity as possible

fair nuff, when you're scoobied out of your head you are hardly of sound mind to make that decision, but surely if you make a will & state in your will the conditions under which you would prefer not to be treated then this gets around the "sound mind" issue since your will is made when you are of sound mind
