You realise that on a domestic appliance enthusiast messageboard somewhere, there's probably a washing machine repairman asking for advice on how to replace a processor fan that's shot, and asking his fellow repairmen if anyone knows how to replace it

I'd say that you'd have to squeeze one side of it in
    Code:
     _________
    |__ __|
      _| |_
      |_____|
Prob something like that, the bottom, smaller part would go through the hole and expand to seal it up

If it's a push fit type a little silicon grease, or failing that washing up liquid will help it ease in no end. Vasaline, should you have any is a no-no

Good work. What's gonna break next? I reckon it'll be my microwave. It's looking decidedly sketchy atm.

I have to fill my washing machine myself with a jug, because it only puts in a dribble of hot water when you switch it on. It rinses fine though- what's that all about?.

Yeah, it rinses with cold water, and for a 40 degree wash it should be using a lot more cold water than hot. It just won't put in any cold when it initially fills up. Like I say, I just pour a dozen or so jugfuls into the powder drawer when i switch it on, no point getting a new one just for that reason (besides I can't afford a new one anyway).
