I think kindergarten is American. iv'e never heard of them in the uk beforeApologies, that was a misunderstanding on my part; i thought "Kindergarten" was an actual American nursery school.
However, I know all about UK day nurseries because my wife's a nursery nurse. I know how annoyed she gets when people call the nursery other things like a kindergarten and, worst of all... a creche!
I'd also like to back up Shelley; a lot of people think that looking after kids at a day nursery is just changing nappies or playing with kids, but the reality is far different. So many rules, so many files to write up, and there's the interfering parents too!
And i know how your wife feelsi get annoyed when people call it Playgoup, makes you feel like screaming....
Yes Mike i expect your wife gets annoyed too when people tell her how lovely and stress free her job is, hmmmmmmm in one day playing with children is only 10% of what i do especially at the end of term when your arraning the intake for next term, home visits, updating childrens records, getting paperwork ready for children going to big school, half the time your sorting out your staff instead of the kids ( who are much harder work, give me 26 children over 5 adults anyday )
That is quite a relief really, it would be a shame for such a large amount of money to be wasted, where it could have been spent on other useful things.Hmmmmm.

Lol yep. It was pretty much a metric tonne of books. A lorry took them away this morning. And my mum keeps her job!
