Bristol Balloon Festival...*56k*

was pretty tricky taking decent shots, bit of a breeze meant the ballons never seemed to stay still, and a screaming chav-child knocking the tripod didn't really help - was about to smack it

anyway, got a few of semi-decent in focus shots.

was all choreographed to music...i have some movies I shot too but they're a bit too big to post

its been about 4 years since ive been to the ballon festival - used to be a yearly trip.

Do they go up at night too?, isn't it a little bit dangerous if they do?.....

no, they stay tethered at night. but they do go up at 6am the next day!

I love the lighting effect that these balloons give, very gentle but very stark in contrast to the surroundings.

We are going to go sunday morning I think. Its great.

The main organiser this year for the ballon side is the guy who took me up on my ballon ride and really nice guy.

The monster ballon looks ace hehe.

We tried to go to watch them this morning but they didnt fly so it was a wasted visit. (got up at 5.20am! )
