Yeh i have a subscription. I don't know why some of you say its a bit off. I do notice that the reviews of products sometimes lack depth. Its not liek its been going long though, only since late 2003.
How do you get hold of PC modder?

Personally I love Custom PC. It is a rare mag aimed at the Modder+Performance Enthusiast, rather than the begginner, at which all the others seem to be.
Been in it three times , got my work on the front cover of the first issue
Good mag tbh.
I only get customPC when ive got a long journey to kill, its a decent read but when reviews are available on the internet weeks before it kinda seems pointless.
I also used to get PC Zone quite alot, now that was a quality mag, but again my cheapness and habit of reading game reviews on the net before it comes out pursuades me to leave it on the shelves now.
Same, I would only buy it anyway so better to get it for 40% off each issue.Originally Posted by menthel
yeh i do find that many pc mags are aimed at beginners. Like computer active.
PC Format is fairly advanced, as is CustomPC.
My 1st issue is sept 2004. I was very excited to see it on the shelf, as it was 'my mag' all over!

Eh?, PC Format advanced? I thought it was the FHM of PC mags!
I love it, i also read computer shopper, which is good, but, just reviews laptops and desktops 800 - 1000 lol. The good stuff is the articles in the back pages.
You may be able to read it all in the internet, but its not the same as having a properly put together copy to read through. Dont get why people dont see that? oh well.

I tend to read Custom PC & PCZ.
PCZ has just had a redesign, for those interested =)
I'm an avid reader of CustomPC, I have every copy around the place somewhere, and have been a subscriber since Jan this year.
What's happened to PD's last page? They have replaced it with some stupid thing.
All in all it's a good read and hopefully will continue to be.

I find PC Format to be very expensive. I bought my 1st issue about 3 days ago. £6!!
iMc - are you in the Metallica Fanclub? I joined last week.
