Ok a short while ago, my beloved first and only laptop had an accident. Not pooped it's pants sort of accident, but something that would have put it in a wheelchair...
*pics taken with my 0.6mp phone (lol), so reasonable quality*
OH MY GOD No need to panic, I found a perfectly working *Part* of the screen
What should I do? Its the 'LCD unit - TFT10.4-inch 05K9651' that is damaged, as far as I can see there is no damage on the casing, frame, etc. I've opened it all, took the whole LCD unit off, so its like a keyboard computer, and hooked it up to the D-SUB port on my Dell 2005FPW, so I can press a button to switch between computers. It was only an IBM ThinkPad 240x but it was a good webbrowser, downloader, infared for my phone, music, TV/movies in bed, teamspeak server hosting, as well as all my work..... well techically speaking it still works, but I cant do anything on the LCD as you can tell.
SO BASICALLY that all happened a short while ago... but now my harddrive died for absolutely no reason. Good thing is, is that the laptops now completely silent lol - but i took the harddrive out and it rattles.
