Right, someone's gonna have to explain what 'an emo' is. I've heard this Emo music but not really paid much attention to it's followers.

    Damn right

I was at leeds (2nd year, 2nd festival) and i have to say i had an awesome time. Now i have been told about the rioting before by more experienced festival goers and tbh i want nothing to do with it (like most people who dont want to get hurt or see anyone close to them get hurt) So this is why this year, like last year me and some of my mates cleared out after the foos finished their set (sundays last act at leeds). We got straight off site and it was plain sailing down the motorway back home.

From a few mates who stayed the extra night all we missed was a riot. Apparently some lads tore down some telegraph poles and "set fire to the fire lane" . My mates tents were all burnt down or slashed and as for their gazebo...

It was still great and frankly i would rather sleep without a tent in a muddy field than got to ibiza to large it with da homeys and me bird sharron innit safe aiii etc

I gotcha - just another one of the never ending teen sub cultures then. The most annoying of which always centre around 'you don't understand me'

I think out of the lot, early 90s metallica geeks where my favourite.

The best part of Sunday night at Reading was the mob going round shouting the frankly fantastic "Say NO to EMO" slogan at anyone who was near them.

That was probably the last thing that got dull, tbh.

    Ah - now there's a non-festival festival. Download.

Although packed with comedy bands most years.

I went to leeds once... liked the music.. but the rest of it was plain depressing..
my other half went this year with her friends.. she said it was pretty mad on the sunday.
We cannot choose what we are.. but what are we but the sum of our choices?

Better music is, of course, subjective.

I think Electric 6 where the only lot I'd have found half interesting, and mainly for the entertaining stage show.

The rest of it's been just tedious guitar rock to me.
