Dodgy Prank Calls

Hi all

Has anyone ever had any prank calls on their phone?

The reason I ask is that I received a call last week from a guy who told me that my number was on HIS phone (not his girlfriends phone, like most prank calls). I then informed him that if MY number was on HIS phone, then it was more than likely that HE put MY number there!!!

I did laugh!

Has anyone else had any funny prank calls or scary, serious ones?

Yeh the other day in fact. Someone phoned up and said "what's the hardest part of a vegetable?" to which i replied that i didn't know, he replied "the wheelchair". Bear in mind I had no idea who it was, i then did ask and he said "does it really matter?" and then hung up. Quite a humerous anonymous free joke phone call to be honest

in sixth form a couple of mates and i used to use the payphone just down the road to ring up directory enquiries (when it was free) and ask for a Mr Random Name in Random Town.

Mr Egg in Cambridge was a good one

btw kezzer, i really love the idea of entering a random number in your phone and teling the person at the end of the phone a joke
Its much safer than the old heavy breathing routine anyways.

we used to call the payphne form our sixth form centre for 1hr straight every day surign study, it was the funniest thing ever listening to this crazy old man shouting down the phone at us, it was one of those phones that you put money into once they picked up, so we could hear him but he couldnt here us, aaaah the memories

we rang up frank the goverment drugs advisory line, trying to do a prank call. but instead the person on the other end of the phone started tellling us about how it was better to bake weed. I mean really. We had a simple plan, ring up and say that i'd heard about injecting marijooRna. Boy did that one back fire.

Apparently (...what?) you get a hold message before telling you to hang up now if you are going to prank them or they'll do nasty stuff etc..., or, if not please hold and a representative will be with you shortly.

Last day of 6th form at my old school, EVERYBODY (120ppl) ordered one pizza and one taxi to arrive at the school gates at 1pm. I think they gridlocked Warwickshire.

EDIT: Also I had the No 10 Downing Street Number. Does exactly the same as the B.ham Palace one. I hung up.

I have that number, and I rung it once, and hung up because it said to. I always do what the voices say.

I get similar - Probably 1 of the senile old crew Pyle was on about in the other thread who leaves messages galore on my "1571" answering machine for Noreen. I've been in a few times and she's rang and I've told her "sorry wrong number love" only for her to hang-up and then re-ring 2 mins later

4 weeks ago we had a typical drunken Saturday with a few mates playing x-box all day with beer and pizza etc and by 5pm we were a bit worse for wear.

1 of my mates dissapeared for about 10 minutes, and came back talking on the phone, so I though he was chatting to his girlfriend. Nope - the crazy old woman had rang and he was sat happily chatting to her

I had one like that, a girl phoned and asked for Anna, "Who? i replied, think you have the wrong number" they then said "this is 6****4 isn't it, where is Anna, iv'e called her loads of times at this number" she started being abusive then

i didn't even bother answering, just put the phone down

I like the funny prank calls, that are MEANT to be funny.

I just dont like the ones that seem pretty serious with people telling you that theyre gonna kill you if you dont comply with their demands....

If it happens, i usually stay silent, and make them pay for the call!

I find that works a treat, cos you can sometimes hear them talking to their mates in the background....discussing what they should say next...its always good fun!

My offerings:

Get an ultra pissed mate out of the pub or wherever, get a taxi to take him home, say it's somewhere really long way away - say to the driver (if asked) he's got someone expecting him, they'll pay. He'll be driving forever (preferably somewhere that doesn't exist) and.... I'll shut up now.

Get 20 people to call up a number for say John, each of them insist they speak to him, then read out the number saying that he'd meet you at a place and didn't, when they hang up, next one call five mins later and so on.... then next day, someone supposedly JOhn rings up, asking if there were any messages

Use 141 people.
